Austrian midfielder Christoph Rabitsch has completed his move to Dundee United.

The 22-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the Tangerines as boss Csaba Laszlo continues to piece his squad together.

Rabitsch is a former Austrian under-21 international and has made the switch from Wolfsberger AC in his homeland.

He promised United fans that he will prove to be a tough operator on the park. Rabitsch said: “I am a fighter and I want to win every game with my team.

“I believe that playing football here can help me reach my ambitions in my career but my main target is to help United get into the Premiership.”

The Tannadice men have also appointed former Livingston number one Neil Alexander as their goalkeeping coach.

Alexander, 40, who helped win promotion for Livi at the expense of United last season, said: “I feel the time is right to give up playing and I am delighted to become the goalkeeping coach at a club the stature of Dundee United.

“It is an exciting time for me in my career and I am looking forward to getting going.”

Meanwhile, central defender Callum Morris is understood to have knocked back a more lucrative offer from Championship rivals Ross County in order to return to Tannadice for a second spell.

Morris had been expected to head to England after Dunfermline confirmed his departure.

However, as Courier Sport revealed, the Tangerines declared an interest in their explayer and they are poised to close the deal.
