Marmington lose heavily to Glasgow City
Forfar Farmington suffered a heavy home defeat to SWPL 1 leaders Glasgow City at the weekend.
The 6-1 loss leaves the Angus side in mid-table ahead of the summer break. Megan Robb scored for the hosts.
St Johnstone couldn’t have asked for a better result than their 3-2 away win against Kilmarnock.
The result takes them on to the same points total in SWPL 2 as their second-placed opponents.
Motherwell are running away with the title and are 13 points ahead at the top.
Not for the first time this season, Jade Mcdonald played a captain’s role and scored the winner.
Rebecca Mcgowan and Laura Dunn were also on the scoresheet.
East Fife stayed in front in Division One North after defeating local rivals Dunfermline 4-2 away.
Dundee United kept the gap at three points, though, with a crucial 5-4 win at Cove Rangers.
Raith Rovers took some pressure off themselves at the other end of the table by beating Westdyke Ladies 2-0.
In Division Two North, Montrose went top on goal difference by winning 5-0 at home to Moray. Forfar Farmington Development were 7-1 winners at Buckie and are six points back.
In Division Two East, Dundee City beat Kelty Hearts 3-2, Jeanfield Swifts Development thrashed Lothian FC 8-1 and Dryburgh Athletic beat East Fife Violets 3-0.
