KIRRIEMUIR. Chris Horrocks welcomed members and guest Norah Meikle, representi­ng Angus Federation. Jonathan Mitchell gave a talk on his life as a painter. Anne Morrall proposed thanks. Ingrid Allison presided and welcomed old and new members to the first meeting of the new session. She then introduced Angus Whitson (AKA Man with Two Dogs), who gave a varied talk of his life and writings in The Courier which was enjoyed by all. CARMYLLIE. Mrs Edith Douglas introduced Maureen Mcleod, federation chairman, who gave a talk. Sam Riddell then gave a talk on his work with the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance. Mrs Mcleod and Mr Riddell cut the 2nd birthday cake. Flo Cruickshan­k proposed thanks and Mrs Douglas closed the meeting.

CORTACHY. Chairman Sandra Boath presided and the new federation chairman Maureen Mcleod gave a talk on the executive committee and encouraged candidates for various positions to come forward. Murray Brown from the RNLI showed a short film on emergency rescues.
