KIRRIEMUIR: Leonard Brown and his all-star band will perform in aid of the Maggie’s Centre at Kirriemuir Town Hall.

The event – which will also feature Gordon Cree – will take place from 1 to 4pm on October 21, with doors opening at 12.30.

ART: Dundee’s artistic community is set to lend its talent for an event in aid of multiple sclerosis (MS) charities.

Celia McCartney, who has repeatedly mobilised some of Tayside’s best known artists to raise funds for good causes, will again take the helm for the week-long botanic gardens event from October 15.

Landscape painter Fiona Haldane will be among those donating their time and talent in the form of paintings and prints, along with Joe McIntyre, John Stoa, Paul Craven and Sandra Warsop.

Ms Haldane will kick-off proceeding­s at 2pm on October 15, with the event running until October 22.

ABERLEMNO: Aberlemno Church is hosting a quiz night in Canmore Bowling Club, Forfar, on Thursday with a 7.30pm start and £3 entry.

HILLSIDE: Hillside Senior Citizens coffee morning takes place in the village hall on Saturday from 10am to noon.

Usual stalls and raffles. Entry is £2.
