The South London fourpiece – founder members Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian and long-serving colleagues Rob Allum and Eddie Myer – are at Inchyra Arts Club on Sunday. Formed in 1999, the Cooking Vinyl stalwarts released their eighth studio album Invisible Storm in January, 17 years on from their Mercury-nominated debut The Optimist.

Green Hotel, tickets £21.50 from www.ticketweb.uk.

● Riotous revelry’s in prospect at Conroy’s Basement’s cheekily-titled Gloomfest tomorrow.

Billed as “a sonic offering to the old gods of gloom as winter steadily approaches”, the annual Meadowside riffathon includes sets from four alternative outfits, plus unnamed special guests.

Definitely confirmed are Glasgow doom-bringers First Temple Of The Atom, heavyduty stoner rock exponents Isak, face-melting Dundee dance combo Vflambda and metal powerhouse Houdini Said No.

Tickets are £5 from vflambda.bigcartel.com or £7 on the door.

● Downbeat troubadours Aidan Moffat and RM Hubbert are at Perth Theatre’s Joan Knight Studio next week.

Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page played on her second album before she joined Midnight Flyer, with her 1981 duet with tartan troubadour BA Robertson, Hold Me, peaking at No 11. She later sang at Zeppelin’s one-off reunion at London’s O2 in 2007. Blues Band stalwart Dave Kelly is regarded by many as the UK’s finest blues slide guitarist. The duo’s Green Hotel show’s sold out.
