FORFAR: A Forget Me Not sale will take place in the Masonic Lodge, Coutties Wynd, today from 10am to 3pm.

Winter coats, jackets, jumpers, toys and books will be on offer.

ARBROATH: A night of mixed and ceilidh dancing to the music of Gordon Pattullo was held at the Old and Abbey Church.

The next event will be tomorrow from 7.30-10pm

Admission is £3.50 which includes refreshmen­ts.

MONTROSE: Pip Hills will give a talk about the entropy engine at a meeting of Montrose Natural History and Antiquaria­n Society in Montrose Museum at 7.30pm on Tuesday. Pip, a member of the society’s committee, has had four books published and is working on two more.

MONTROSE: The Floral Art Club meets on Tuesday in The George Hotel at 7.30pm, when Linda Hardman from Preston will be demonstrat­or for the evening. Her title is Love Lancashire.

ARBROATH: The Rotary Club of Arbroath annual charity quiz takes place at 7pm on Wednesday at the Meadowbank Inn.

Entry for teams of four is £20 and the top prize is £100. All proceeds go to rotary supported charities.

FORFAR: Tickets are available for the Scottish Bonanza staged by Forfar Athletic in the Reid Hall on Sunday November 18 at 7pm. Eddie Rose is compere with artists including Garioch Blend, the Sandra Wright Dancers, Eileen Craig and Maggie Findlay, Bill Gray and John Morgan.
