Teenager admits damaging cars

A teenager admitted causing damage to three cars in a residentia­l area of his home town when he appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court.

Harry Fyfe, 19, of Easterbank, Forfar, appeared in the dock to plead guilty to three charges of vandalism which took place between February 27 and 28.

On the first occasion he damaged a wing mirror of a car on South Street before going on to break the wing mirror off two cars in The Ha’en.

Sheriff Gregor Murray said: “Society absolutely detests people who do these sort of things, not withstandi­ng your age.”

He deferred sentence until April 18 for the preparatio­n of a criminal justice and social work report. Fyfe was released on bail. Also at Forfar: Diane Randals, 30, of Bruce Road, Arbroath, pled guilty to having diamorphin­e in her possession at an address on Bruce Road on October 26 2018.

Sentence was deferred until April 11 when Randals has other cases calling.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Aaron Wallace, 35, of North Grimsby, Arbroath.

He was due to appear at an intermedia­te diet facing two charges of theft from the Golden Lion Service Station, Montrose Road, Arbroath.

He earlier pled not guilty to stealing a quantity of meat on October 5 and an air freshener and clothes detergent on October 7.
