Police hunt for teens after village suffers a spate of vandalism
Cars and shops broken into and items stolen as appeal is made
Police are hunting three teenage boys after a night of mayhem in Invergowrie that saw 16 cars being damaged.
Police Scotland is appealing for information about an “extensive series” of vandalism and car break-ins in the village and at Dundee Technology Park, which happened between 10pm and midnight on Wednesday.
Firstly, a black Hyundai i20 was broken into in Greystane Terrace, Invergowrie.
Nothing was taken, but three male youths in their late teens wearing dark hooded tops were seen making off from there into Dundee and the Technology Park.
Shortly afterwards, damage was inflicted on four cars parked in Luna Place, four parked in Gemini Crescent and a further six in Wurzburg Place.
After that, a black Peugeot 2008 parked in Mariner Drive was broken into and property stolen from it.

The news comes just days after an Invergowrie dad chased off a gang of youths when he caught them breaking into his car on Sunday.
Meanwhile on Friday, there was a break-in at the Scotmid convenience store on Main Street.
A police spokesman said: “We posted an appeal for information about a similar series of vandalisms in this area earlier this week and we are treating all of them as linked.
“We are currently following a number of lines of inquiry and there will be extra patrols in the Invergowrie and Menzieshill and Technology Park areas.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, particularly if you saw this group of three young men in the area last night, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.”

Carse of Gowrie councillor Angus Forbes said: “Invergowrie seems to be suffering from more crime than would be expected.
“I am really concerned for the elderly and vulnerable residents who live in Invergowrie but I am satisfied that the police are taking this seriously.”
