North Super League

Liam Mcartney came back to haunt his former club when he scored a hat-trick for Tayport in their 5-2 win over North End.

It was a solid team performance by Port who dominated for long spells and it must have been sweet revenge for the Fifers, who lost 7-3 in their last meeting with the Dokens.

Port top scorer Dayle Robertson put them ahead on 24 minutes and added another six minutes later.

Grady Mcgrath gave the Dokens a possible lifeline when he pulled one back on the hour but their joy was shortlived as Mcartney restored the two-goal advantage a minute later.

Mcartney struck again on 83 minutes before Jordan Hornby netted a second for the Dokens to give them a glimmer of hope but Mcartney completed his hattrick with a couple of minutes to go.

Downfield edged out visitors Luncarty 1-0. The winner came courtesy of Jo Colquhoun’s second half penalty.

The Scone versus Carnoustie clash was abandoned after 62 minutes when Carnoustie’s Harvey Dailly sustained a fractured leg.

The home side were leading 1-0 at the time thanks to a Ross Lamond strike just before half-time and they had earlier missed a penalty when Craig Mitchell sent the spot-kick wide.

The Angus derby at Westview Park produced the classic game of two halves as Kirrie Thistle and Forfar West End shared eight goals.

At the break, West End appeared totally in the driving seat – three up thanks to goals from Paul Weir, Abi Njie and Rikki Gillespie.

But it was all change in the second half as the home side hit back to lead courtesy of doubles from Dale Reid and Ryan Winter.

A late Jay Yule strike spared West End blushes.

In a friendly at Thomson Park Lochee United drew 1-1 with Loche Harp.

North Premier League

East Craigie extended their unbeaten run to 19 matches and their lead over Blairgowrie to five points after their 3-0 win over the Berrypickers.

With the Shipbuilders having two games in hand it would be a brave man to bet against the North Premier title going to Craigie Park,

The Shipbuilders were always in control with Rory Faulkner giving them the lead then Sean Reekie and Adam Brown adding two more.

Unfortunately the match was held up for a lengthy period awaiting an ambulance for Blair’s Ryan Beedie who sustained a knee ligament injury. Fortunately, however, he was allowed home after treatment in hospital.

Coupar Angus and Brechin Vics shared eight goals at Foxhall Park.

Brechin went two up through Aaron Stephen and Lewis Stacey but Coupar replied with an Alan Cruickshank double.

Euan Duff headed Vics back in front to lead 3-2 at the break

Early in the second half Cruickshank completed his hat-trick to level the game and two minutes later Jamie Duncan put the hosts in front for the first time.

But Cammy Fraser’s terrific strike earned the defiant visitors a point.

Violet had to work hard for their 3-1 win over Forfar Albion at Glenesk.

Sean Tucker gave the Pansies a first half lead but Albion hit back with Scott Black equalising.

Jordan Garden converted a penalty to give the Glenesk club an interval lead and Tucker struck again in the second half to seal victory.
