AHDB bolsters team
The AHDB is strengthening its dairy presence in Scotland with the appointment of a new knowledge exchange manager.
The levy body is also scheduled to reveal a second strategic dairy farm in Scotland in addition to Hill of Covington in Lanarkshire.
Doreen Anderson, who is based in Dumfries and Galloway, is the new dairy exchange manager.
She has worked with AHDB on benchmarking and farm economics and will be responsible for delivering programmes and practical tools to help support Scotland’s more than 800 dairy farmers.
AHDB Scotland director Paul Flanagan said: “Doreen has a good understanding of the dairy sector from her time at AHDB and her wealth of agricultural experience and wide network of contacts across the farming industry in Scotland and beyond means that we have the perfect person taking over the reins.”
