Workout to give pipers bags of energy
Blair Wishart, left, and Ciaran Gaughan from Johnstone Pipe Band work with personal trainers at David Lloyd Renfrew to create a workout programme for the start of the international piping season in Scotland.
With advice from the National Piping Centre in Glasgow, the programme has been devised to strengthen the body, and in particular the muscles in the neck, shoulder and under arm, to enable a longer and less-fatigued playing time.
