MP welcomes improved 4G signal but says more still needs done
An investment by telecommunications operator EE to improve 4G coverage in Strathmiglo has been warmly welcomed, but a local MP says other providers must do more to improve the situation.
North East Fife MP Stephen Gethins said the company’s move will undoubtedly lead to more residents and businesses benefitting from the speeds offered by 4G for their devices.
However, he hopes other firms will now follow suit. “Good communication is vital, especially in rural areas, but poor connectivity is one of the most common issues raised by constituents, particularly those living in the East Neuk, and clearly more investment is needed by mobile providers so everyone, residents and businesses, can benefit,” he said.
