Charity store seeks volunteers

-

Barnardo’s Scotland is appealing to local people to donate some time.

The charity wants volunteers to keep the tills running and the rails full at its Dalgety Bay shop.

The children’s store sells baby wear, nursery furniture, prams and buggies, as well as toys and games. But it needs volunteers to help with its day-to-day running.

Volunteers can become involved for many reasons – to support the charity’s work, improve their CV, look to keep involved with the community or meet new friends.

The role can be tailored to suit their particular strengths and preferences, with jobs in the front or back of the shop.

Store manager Theresa Allan said: “Volunteers are vital to Barnardo’s Scotland.

“By giving up your time you will be helping support Barnardo’s Scotland’s work with local children including support for young care leavers move on to independent living.

“We are in need of more volunteers to join our small friendly team and help keep the shop running.

“We are looking for people from all walks of life, of all ages and with different levels of time to give.

“We will give you the opportunity to learn new skills and be part of the local community while putting your spare time to good use.”
