Tax relief incentive for gaming companies

-

Dundee-based accountancy firm Henderson Loggie has helped gaming companies claim £650,000 in video games tax relief over the last two years.

With 25 years’ creative industry experience, the specialist team at Henderson Loggie has earned a reputation for expertise in the sector.

Henderson Loggie partner and creative media specialist Steve Cartwright said: “Video games tax relief has been a welcome boost for businesses but not all companies are aware that they may be able to claim an additional deduction of 80% of qualifying production costs.”

Industry body TIGA wants the UK Government to improve video games tax relief to give UK companies competitive advantage in the global economy.

This weekend the accountancy firm will be supporting a pioneering three-day gaming festival taking place in Glasgow.

Resonate Total Gaming at the SECC will showcase Scotland’s newest indie developers.
