Angus team gears up for Great Glen Challenge

-

A team of four Angus accountancy staff are gearing up to compete in a gruelling challenge in the Highlands next month in aid of rural charity RSABI.

The Great Glen Challenge from Fort Augustus to Fort William attracted 25 teams last year and raised more than £62,000 for the charity.

The quartet from EQ Accountants in Forfar are Mark McColgan, who will embark on a 17km run, Robert Urquhart, who will take on a 46km mountain bike ride, Anna Coff, who will walk 18km and Kiera McDonald, making a splash in a 6km kayak race.

Sarah Millar is the EQ team captain and support driver.

Other accountancy firms, solicitors, banks and land agents will compete to be crowned the winner.

Every year RSABI helps hundreds of people with backgrounds in farming, crofting, forestry, horticulture, fish-farming, gamekeeping and rural estate work who, due to illness, disability, poverty or crisis, are unable to cope.

The charity relies on the generosity of its supporters – individuals, businesses and trusts – in order to ensure that they can continue to provide effective relief to those in need.
