Buddy Holly – 80th Birthday Tour

- Caroline lindsay

Charles Hardin Holley, known professionally as Buddy Holly, was one of the pioneers of mid-1950s rock and roll and rockabilly, and when he was tragically killed in a plane accident in 1959, the world – and Buddy’s band the Crickets – lost one of its greats.

Buddy Holly was irreplaceable but tribute band Buddy Holly and the Cricketers have spent the last 24 years rocking the world over, proving they’re the next best thing to the original.

Buddy would have been 80 in September and Buddy Holly and the Cricketers are celebrating with a special 80th Birthday party tour.

The group has rock ‘n’ rolled audiences across the globe and are guaranteed to have everyone at the Byre Theatre singing along to the music and dancing in the aisles, when they visit St Andrews.

They’re sure to make your Heartbeat a little faster and have you saying: “I can’t believe it’s not Buddy Holly!”
