Cupar charity night to help dialysis ward

-

More people are being sought for a fundraising night in Fife to support the ward that helped save a Dundee man’s life.

Freda Duncan-Davies has organised the event for the dialysis unit at Ninewells Hospital in honour of her friend Rab Couttie, who was on dialysis for 22 years and had two kidney transplants.

Mr Couttie and his partner Debbie Coulson, who now live in Cupar, are supporting a campaign to raise money for the Ninewells Hospital dialysis ward’s comfort fund, which helps those on dialysis through the process, and Freda said she wanted to do something to contribute.

To that end, a charity night will be held at the Club 19 Social in Cupar’s Bonnygate on Friday from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked by contacting Ms Duncan-Davies on 01334 657905.

“Over the years, Rab and Debbie have always been there for me,” Freda said. “Rab is such an upbeat person and it would be great to give something back to him.”
