Simunovic on verge of £3.5m Torino move
Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic is in Italy to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Torino, Press Association Sport understands.
The 22-year-old Croatian centreback has been plagued by injury since his move to Glasgow last summer from Dinamo Zagreb, restricting him to 17 appearances for the club.
But now he is on the verge of a £3.5 million switch to the Serie A giants – looking to replace Napolibound Nikola Maksimovic – after being given permission to head to Turin for talks.
His departure comes as former West Brom full-back Cristian Gamboa checked in to Parkhead to start his Celtic career.
