Sir, - When Dundee is calling out for new business and development, along comes Fraser Macpherson with his idiotic statements for not allowing the expansion of Dundee Airport.

People all over the city have to deal with mobile phone masts and wind turbines and when a golden opportunity comes along for expansion, Mr Macpherson comes away with the old chestnut “not in my patch”.

Does he worry when he flies from Glasgow or Edinburgh that he may be disturbing some residents? I think not. Robert Anderson. Kirkton, Arbroath.
