Man ‘serious’ in hospital after car crash at Meikleour
A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an early morning single-car accident in east Perthshire.
Accident investigators attended the scene and the A984 Meikleour to Dunkeld road was closed in both directions for a while.
Police diverted traffic away from the stretch between the Carsie road junction and the B947 Spittalfield road.
Police Scotland said: “Officers attended at the A984 Meikleour to Dunkeld road at 3.30am after a road traffic collision involving one vehicle.
“A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.”
The man had to be cut free from his vehicle by fire fighters using hydraulic cutting equipment.
He was then passed into the care of paramedics who rushed him to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where he continues to receive care.
It is understood the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
