Wiggins to ride London event

Sir Bradley Wiggins’ place in his slated final event on British soil before retirement has been confirmed.

The 36-year-old, under scrutiny after seeking permission to use triamcinolone before three of his biggest races, will compete in the London Six Day competition next week with Mark Cavendish.

Wiggins has long planned to ride in the October 25 to 30 competition at the Lee Valley Velo Park.

The five-time Olympic champion’s final event is scheduled to be the Ghent Six Day race next month.
