No need for alarm at Ethylene Plant

-

The public are being told not to worry about a heightened emergency service presence at the Fife Ethylene Plant at Mossmorran this morning.

Exxon-Mobil is holding an emergency exercise from 10am to 1pm which will involve all of the blue light emergency services.

Before the exercise begins, a number of emergency service vehicles will gather on the site’s North Access Road, although they may be visible from the A909 Cowdenbeath to Burntisland road.

A spokesman for Fife Council said: “There will be no cause for alarm, however, as this is only an exercise, and all the relevant authorities have been informed.”
