Flora to bloom at Hexham

Racing: Little Cracker also worth following on a winnable mark

- The FerreT

FLORAMOSS finished third in a bumper which has worked out well and might be worth chancing in the At The Races Sky 415 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Hexham.

That race was won by Irish Roe, who went on to dead-heat in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham afterwards.

Floramoss was some 13 lengths adrift which does not suggest she is a certainty by any means, but in a race of this level, it is just about the best form on offer.

MY LITTLE CRACKER should improve for his first outing of the season in the Attheraces Virgin 535 Novices’ Handicap Chase.

Twice a winner last season for Iain Jardine, he has dropped back down to a winnable mark.

He cut little ice on his comeback, but with more give in the ground, he will be more at home.

THE DRINKY MEISTER ended last season in great heart and, with Kim Bailey’s horses generally running well, he should go close in the Follow At Attheraces On Twitter Handicap Chase.

TOWERING is not one of Nicky Henderson’s stable stars but he has been placed to good effect and that looks the case again in the Advent Handicap Hurdle at Leicester.

Owned by Middleham Park Racing, he has a win at Cheltenham to his name which always takes some doing, and he can compete in this lower level off just a 2lb higher mark.
