CLIMATE CHANGE A Greener Kirkcaldy workshop on climate change will be held at Adam Smith Theatre from 6pm to 8pm tonight.

Visitors will find out how to bust some of the climate myths, how to have a conversati­on about climate change with those around you or your colleagues and how to overcome some of the barriers that prevent people acting on climate change. This workshop is free to attend but booking is required on 01592 858458. ORGAN SOCIETY Fife Electronic Organ Society will welcome in the new year with a concert by Chris Powell playing the Roland AT-900C.

It will start at 7pm tonight in St Columba’s Church, Glenrothes, and all are welcome. TEA DANCE Tea dances are held in St John’s and Dairsie United Church Hall at St John’s Cupar every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm. Everybody is welcome. KIRKCALDY MUSIC SOCIETY There will be an evening of music from Britten, Ravel and Beethoven in Kirkcaldy Old Kirk tonight when violinst Benjamin Baker and pianist David Lebhardt perform.

The concert will start at 7.30pm. LINTON LANE LUNCH After the success of the Christmas Day community lunch, Hosting Hope returns to Linton Lane Centre in Kirkcaldy with their first community lunch of 2017 on Sunday between 12.30pm and 2pm.

The event is open to all and free of charge but organisers would appreciate prior contact to confirm numbers attending.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY Dunfermlin­e Historical Society will meet in Abbey Church Hall, Abbey Park Place, Dunfermlin­e, tomorrow at 7.30pm. The speaker will be Hugh Walker with a talk entitled The History of Sanitation. RETIRED TEACHERS Dunfermlin­e Retired Teachers’ Associatio­n will hold its first meeting of the year at 10.30am in the Carnegie Hall lecture room tomorrow.

It will be a musical morning and members are encouraged to bring along their favourite records.
