Bookworms fight it out in final chapter of quiz contest

Hundreds of big book brains will descend on Glenrothes today.

More than 120 school teams will take part in the final of the Big Book Brains quiz which is compered by best-selling author Jonathan Meres, best known for his The World of Norm books.

Organised for the ninth year running by the ON at Fife Libraries team, the quiz sees pupils compete for the sought-after title of Big Book Brains 2017, along with prizes and trophy.

Reading challenges and quiz heats have taken place across Fife since last August.

Now the heat is on to find the winners who can be librarians for a day and select £500 worth of books for their school library.
