Investigation launched after discovery of large cannabis crop
Police have unearthed a cannabis crop in Fife.
The discovery took place at an address on Methil Brae, Methil, after officers were given a tip-off from a member of the public.
They were able to recover 134 cannabis plants worth more than £30,000.
The property was empty when the police raided the cannabis cultivation and now the hunt is on to find the occupiers.
Detective Sergeant Jim McGuinness of Levenmouth CID said: “We are committed to targeting those who deal in drugs with a view to preventing the harm they cause in our community.
“This was a significant recovery and it is essential that we trace the occupiers of this address as soon as possible.”
