Spider Park refurbishment set to fly after catching web of funding
A major cash injection has been awarded to help breathe new life into a Burntisland playpark.
The community council applied for funding to help refurbish the West Links play area, known locally as the Spider Park. The application has been successful, with Fife Environment Trust and Fife Council granting more than £41,000 to carry out the renovation work.
Designs have already been drawn up, with the community council approaching youngsters to find out what they would like to see in their new play area.
Work on the park should begin in April, and it is hoped that the area will be back in use by May.
