Dundee yoga instructor left stunned as 32 million tune in to kilted exercise video
A Dundee yoga instructor has earned worldwide acclaim after creating a video showing him practising “kilted yoga”.
Finlay Wilson hit the headlines last month after sharing the story of his friendship with a Sri Lankan rescue dog.
Videos of Finlay practising yoga with his beloved pet Amaloh touched the hearts of more than one million viewers.
Not content with the success of his initial video, Finlay is now basking in the glory of 32 million views after starring in footage of “kilted yoga”.
Striking a number of yoga poses in woods near Dunkeld, Finlay and his fellow participant, Mr Scotland Tristan Cameron Harper, finish off their session with a cheeky flash.
The video has been viewed 32 million times and has been featured on websites and in newspapers across the globe.
Describing the success of his latest video, Finlay admits he never felt he would be able to follow-up on his initial viral success. He said: “It’s completely surreal. “The video has appeared on national news in Melbourne and has been tweeted by loads of different celebrities.
“It had three and a half million views and then I went to bed, woke up and it had exploded.
“It’s gotten so big it’s impossible to track.
“People in India and Pakistan have been in touch to say they love the video.”
Finlay and Tristan are already working on their next collaboration.
And, having recorded two viral videos in a row, Finlay is now aiming for a hat-trick.
He said: “The guys at the BBC (who Finlay produces videos on behalf of) said there was no way I would be able to do two videos in a row which would go viral.
“Scottish guys in kilts always does well – that plus yoga, plus the environment, I think it’s really captivating.
“We’re back filming on Tuesday and are already thinking about our next collaboration.”
Finlay’s work has earned him an army of supporters including Judy Murray.
