Fifers boss expects more from Duggan

-

East Fife striker Chris Duggan has scored four times in three games since returning from a six-month injury absence – but Bayview boss Barry Smith insists that there is even more to come from the 23-year-old.

The former Partick Thistle striker made two brief substitute appearances for the Fifers in July before dropping out with a hamstring problem and he has scored in the three starts he has made since returning earlier this month.

Duggan has netted against Queen’s Park and Brechin in the league as well as hitting a double against St Mirren in the Scottish Cup.

Smith said: “Chris is doing very well just now both in terms of scoring goals and making them.

“There is more to come from him between now and the end of the season.”
