Appeal to men in rape probe

Detectives investigat­ing the rape of a 27-year-old woman in Renfrewshi­re have appealed to three men to come forward.

The attack happened at about 8pm on February 20 as she walked between Byres Road and Glenmalloc­h Place in Elderslie.

The first man was seen in Stoddard Square, around 8pm on February 19 or February 20.

He was aged 30-50 and wearing dark trousers and a light top.

The second was seen near the Wallace Monument in Main Road, at 8.15pm on February 20. He was in his 30s, 5ft 10ins and of stocky build with short dark hair. He was wearing dark trousers and jacket.

The third man was seen near the monument at about 1.10am on February 21. He was aged 30-40 and wore dark jeans, black jacket and white trainers.
