It’s a tough job... choosing the top cake
Jayne Frost with a gin cake at this year’s Scottish Baker of the Year competition, where judges were faced with the task of getting their teeth round 850 scones, loaves, savouries, cakes, rolls and biscuits.
The judges spent the day at Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline choosing their winners, who will have to wait until May to find out if they’ve come up with the best bun or loveliest loaf.
