Brits crash out of Miami Open

It was a bad day for British men at the Miami Open in the early hours of yesterday.

Following Dan Evans exit, things did not get better for the Brits when Kyle Edmond crashed out to American qualifier Jared Donaldson.

Edmund broke twice to win the opening set 6-2 but Donaldson rallied to win the second-set tie-break to level the match before securing a 2-6 7-6 (7/4) 6-2 victory.

And Aljaz Bedene’s winning streak came to an abrupt end as he was forced to retire midway through his first round match against Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff.
