Appeal for informatio­n on thefts

Police have highlighte­d a series of vehicle thefts that have taken place in Perth and wider Perthshire.

These include thieves breaking into a yellow DAF lorry parked within I and H Brown Ltd on Dunkeld Road, Perth, between 8.30pm on Saturday March 18 and 8.30pm the following day.

A blue Vauxhall Vectra car was damaged at Muirton Community Nursery, Perth, between 10.15am and 12.35pm on Sunday March 19.

An orange Mitsubishi Outlander car was damaged in Rorrie Terrace, Methven, between 8pm on Sunday March 19 and 8.20am the following day.

Thieves also broke into a white Ford Transit van on Jura Street, Perth, between 4pm on Thursday March 16 and 7am on Friday March 17.

A blue BMW was damaged on Tweedsmuir Road, Perth, at 5.45pm on Saturday March 18.

The suspect is described as being a white male teenager, who was wearing dark clothing and a rucksack.

Elsewhere, a grey Evolve BMX mountain bike was stolen from outside Kinross High School between 8.45am and 5.30pm on Sunday March 19.

Thieves stole a pink mobile phone from within a silver Vauxhall Insignia car parked on Signal Box Road, Blairgowri­e, around 10am on Friday March 17.
