Dundee Acoustic Music Club hosts Dallahan, one of the most thrilling forces in the Irish and internatio­nal folk music scene, at Roseangle Café on Sunday afternoon.

Back for their second appearance at the club, Dallahan will push and pull you along on a musical journey, artistical­ly transcendi­ng from tender and delicate songs from Transylvan­ia to relentless­ly punchy Irish dance tunes littered with funk grooves and everything in between.

Heavily rooted in traditiona­l Irish music, but with hugely diverse background­s and influences, the band call on their mixed Irish, Scottish and Hungarian heritage to create a unique and seamless musical montage, drawing in influences from jazz, funk, pop and classical music.

Doors open at 1.30pm and the music starts at 2pm at Roseangle Café.

Cherry Bombz bring their rock, indie and punk sounds to Clark’s on Lindsay Street tonight.

Tomorrow there’s 80s pop gems and much more from Salem’s Lot.

Both start at 9.30pm with free entry before midnight.

The Sunday Song Club is hosted this week by the wonderful Sorella, three singing sisters with a stripped back guitar, drums and percussion covering a variety of well-known songs. That starts at 7.30pm. Specifical­ly Vintage is hosting a charity burlesque and dance evening on Tuesday from 7pm.

Autodisco presents New York’s Eric Duncan aka Dr Dunks with support from Sould Out tomorrow.

Eric has been on the Autodisco guest hit list for years and they’ve managed to bring him to Dundee so you can experience a night of

music from a true master as part of their 10th anniversar­y celebratio­ns.

Eric now spends a lot of his time in South America and his back catalogue of production work, either by himself or as part of Rub and Tug and Still Going spans a multitude of the finest labels from DFA to the ridiculous­ly collectabl­e Golf Channel Records.

His remix work covers everyone from Grace Jones to Roxy Music and the Beastie Boys.

Warm up duties will be boosted by a very special appearance from another internatio­nal guest – Mexico City’s Sould Out.

A rising star of the Mexico scene, he plays regularly all over the country and he’s coowner of the Deep Sense label.

As a producer he’s released on labels like Editorial, Alpaca and Wonderful Times. This is most definitely a UK exclusive.

Autodisco residents Dicky Trisco and Dave Autodisco will be there too so don’t miss this chance for a seriously packed night of top music.

Gates open at 10.30pm and entry is £10.

Reckless Kettle are at Rooms Thursdays this week for a 420 party with Mikey Rodger and Fergus Tibbs.
