Kirkcaldy neighbours to share £3 million Postcode Lottery prize

Players will gather on Saturday to find out how much they have won

Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery in Kirkcaldy are set to share an amazing £3 million prize pot, it has emerged.

KY2 6 has been drawn as the next winning postcode sector for the coveted Postcode Millions prize, which is won every month in Great Britain.

On Saturday April 29, 2017 winners will be invited to attend a special ceremony in the town’s Beveridge Park to find out how much they’ve won.

The full winning postcode will also be revealed at the event.

Judie McCourt, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, said she couldn’t wait to meet Kirkcaldy’s lucky winners.

“I’m delighted to be heading to Scotland again later this month for another Postcode Millions event,” she said.

“Players in Kirkcaldy should be getting excited, as I have lots of cheques to hand out just in time for summer.”

With a minimum of 30% going to good causes across Great Britain and internationally, players of People’s Postcode Lottery have so far raised more than £190 million for charities and good causes.

One of the projects near this month’s winning postcode that received funding from players is Greener Kirkcaldy, which received £17,197 last year for their Community Food Hub pilot project.

Last month two neighbours from Brechin won a remarkable £239,663 each after their postcode was picked.

Sheila Black and Susan Lindsay, who live next to each other in Latch Road, were presented their bumper cheques at the House of Dun.
