The Caird offers relaxing luxury...

-

With the emphasis on luxury and a relaxing ambiance, The Caird looks set to bring something special to the Dundee restaurant scene.

The venue was recently taken over by Jimmy and Karen Marr who have more than 30 years of experience in the licence trade and own some of the finest bars and kitchens in the city. The couple are excited to introduce their latest venture into their impressive portfolio.

Also on board at the The Caird is Karen and Jimmy’s son Peter, with former Playwright chef David Anderson bringing his expertise in fine dining to the business. David is delighted to be working in this new kitchen, where he will be introducing his own menus to suit every taste. The tempting range includes an all-day menu, a la carte dining and a new Sunday High Tea menu that the team are sure will be an instant success, with the emphasis on home-cooked food and in house home baking. Don’t forget to book in advance to secure your table for high tea and of course children are very welcome with a separate children’s menu available.

The Marr family are truly excited to be involved in the running of this historic and atmospheric building. Smart and imposing outside, it is only when you enter the venue that you can appreciate the elegance of the original building, which has been emphasised through tasteful restoration and decoration.

Experienced and friendly staff are on hand as soon as you enter The Caird, with the emphasis on great customer service. The team will be more than happy to guide you and your guests through the menus and assist you with your wine selection.

Don’t miss the opportunity to experience one of The Caird’s wine tasting dinner parties, where chef David will cook you a fabulous meal. The dishes will then be teamed with the finest wines and a wine expert will be on hand to help you

learn more about the relationship between the food and chosen wines. The flexible venue will also be introducing private dinners, weddings and is the perfect location for corporate events. At The Caird, they are aware that not every family occasion is a happy one and are experienced in hosting funeral parties in a discreet and private atmosphere so that you can focus on spending time with family and friends.

The Caird is a must if you are looking for that special place to enjoy a relaxing cocktail, wine or even a selection of beers. Take some time out to catch up with friends and family or just to enjoy the great atmosphere and ambience. A great night out and a warm welcome await you at The Caird.
