Bluebells hoping to leapfrog Broxburn

-

Lochee United all but secured their Super League status for next season with their 2-0 win at Carnoustie Panmure last weekend and will be looking to continue the good work with three points that would take them above today’s visitors Broxburn Athletic at Thomson Park.

Camelon host Hill of Beath and the Fifers’ midweek defeat at home to Broughty Athletic has left them a bit too close to the drop zone for comfort.

So a win over the side immediately above them wouldn’t go amiss.

Haws are without Stephen Forbes, who completes a four-match ban.

Carnoustie are away to Newtongrange looking to get back on track after last week’s disappointing defeat to Lochee United.

Manager Alan McSkimming has a full squad available but is contemplating changes to his starting line-up.

Super League leaders Kelty Hearts may be getting a breather from the pressures of their title pursuit away Sauchie in the third round of the East of Scotland Cup, but they won’t get it easy against the Premier League title favourites.

Shaun Greig misses the game for Hearts as he completes a two-game ban.

Jeanfield Swifts are also on East of Scotland business away to Penicuik in round three of the East of Scotland Cup.

They are without Keith Dewar who starts a two-game ban.

Meanwhile, Fraser Smith, just back from suspension, is an injury doubt while Sean Fleming and Mark Duigan remain sidelined.

Forfar West End’s penultimate game of the season is at Bathgate Thistle and as they must win both to keep their hopes of automatic promotion alive, so can afford no slip-ups.

They travel with the same squad of 16 that has served them so well recently.

Downfield travel to Armadale determined to arrest a run of six games without halt a win. However, it is a match their Lothian hosts must win, otherwise they will be relegated.

Mark Bannon is still sidelined and striker Kevin Milne, who only returned from a ban last week, is again suspended after being sent off at Haddington.

Glenrothes boss Willie Campbell has a threadbare squad for the visit of Arniston Rangers.

Already without regular keeper Jack Small, his deputy Scott Costello has been recalled by Brechin, so Campbell is drafting in Dion Gear who is on a delayed transfer from Rosyth U19.

Callum Kinnes is suspended and Aiden Anderson has joined long-term casualties Craig Wallace and Blair Smart on the sidelines.

Additionally, Ross Mutch has been recalled by east Fife this week!

Relegation- threatened St Andrews have no game but will be hoping Tranent win at Whitburn to maintain Saints’s eight-point advantage and use up one of the Lothian side’s six games in hand.
