NEW RESTAURANT Around £200,000 has been invested in a new Indian restaurant opening in Glenrothes, creating up to 15 new jobs.

Handi, which will be in Woodside Road, is the culinary vision of restaurant­eur Dhaneshwar Prasad, who is best known for his experience with popular chain Khushis. CHOCOLATE TREAT Fife College bakery students got the chance of a lifetime to visit one of the biggest chocolate events in the world – Salon du Chocolat in Brussels.

The event showcases chocolatie­rs from around the world, and the students, who are all studying NQ Bakery Level 5, got the chance to witness first-hand the latest methods and techniques. LIBRARY RELAUNCH Largo Library will be relaunched today with a book sale between, 10am and 1pm.

Local crime writer James Oswald will cut the ribbon and children’s author Chae Strathie will read from his books. FLOWER SHOW The St Andrews Gardeners Club, set up in 1833, is holding its annual spring flower show, from 11am to 3.30pm, today in Hope Park Church Hall, St Mary’s Place.

Entry is free. GARDEN TOOLS Bring your garden tools to Greener Kirkcaldy’s free tool repair workshop, from 10am to 12noon today, at the Ravenscrai­g Walled Garden.

It will be led by experts from the Ecology Centre’s Tool Shed project. WALKING CLUB Fife Walking Club meets at 10.30am tomorrow for a walk of Kincardine, Peppermill Dam and Devilla Forest.

Walkers should meet in the car park in Silver Street, Kincardine. CHURCH MEETING The Young Church at Tulliallan and Kincardine Church meets tomorrow, at 11am. CRAIL HUSTINGS Crail Community Council will host a public meeting for prospectiv­e councillor­s in the East Neuk and Landward ward on Monday, at 8.15pm, in Crail Town Hall.

All seven candidates have been invited and will be given an opportunit­y to speak, and members of the audience to ask questions. Tea and coffee will be available from 8pm.
