Food and crafts show is tasty prospect

-

Organisers of this weekend’s Dunfermline Food and Craft Show hope to build on the success of last year’s event.

The show, which runs tomorrow and Sunday, will showcase a wide range of top quality products from the region, with around 40 stalls in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre.

This year the attractions include a ‘Make Your Own Lunch’ cooking lesson at Grill 48 in East Port, which will also be the venue for a free mocktail-making event.

There is also the opportunity to learn new skills at a workshop staged by Sew Yarn Craft in the High Street, and tours around The Canmore, the town centre bar where their popular De Brus beer is brewed on the premises.

The tours take place at 2pm and 3pm. To book a place call the bar on 01383 723715.

Chris Foote, events manager for Dunfermline Delivers, said: “There are top-class eateries and retailers in Dunfermline.

“Many are long-established but some are newer and many people may still not know about them.

“This event will again provide the perfect stage to showcase what the town has to offer.”

There will be free tastings throughout the weekend, and entertainment will be provided by Dance Ecosse, On Pointe Performing Arts, Suit and Pace and the Carnegie Youth Theatre.
