Man assaulted in street

A man is in critical condition in hospital following an alleged assault outside a supermarket.

Police were called to the scene in the Union Street area of Aberdeen at around 9.30pm on Wednesday.

A 33-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in the incident outside the Co-operative store.
