Selling an Alyth property is proving to be child’s play for one estate agent as it is offering a house with its own slide.

The house, which is on the market for £695,000, has the play equipment built between a bedroom and the breakfast room.

The £10,000 chute is the most unusual feature of the property, which is being offered for sale by McEwan Fraser Legal.

It boasts nine bedrooms across the main accommodation, a granny flat and an attached holiday cottage, which is accessed by a separate door.

It also has five bathrooms and seven public rooms.

A spokesman for the firm said: “The property offers ample period features throughout with a modern twist and has had no expense spared in bringing the internal conditions up to a very complementary level.

“From one of the children’s bedrooms you access a twirling slide which leads out into the breakfast area next to the kitchen on the ground floor.

“The owner was keen for the slide to go in as they felt the house had lots of things in it for the adults and they wanted to have something special for kids.

“Any child will love this unique feature and will never be late for a meal again.”

Granted a charter by King James III in 1488, Alyth was raised to the rank of Burgh of Barony with the right to hold markets and fairs.

A golf club was established in Alyth in 1894. The original nine-hole course was designed by Old Tom Morris and was extended to 18 holes 1934.
