One of Scotland’s major food festivals makes a return for its seventh year next month with a host of local flavours, tastings and children’s activities.

People can taste and try before they buy at the indoor food and drink market in the community hall, street food will be cooked in Marketgate, a full programme of tastings are planned at the Legion Hall and a whole host of local chefs and food producers will reveal the secrets of great food and drink in Crail Kirk Hall.

High-profile figures appearing throughout the weekend include cookery teacher Jenny Thomson, acclaimed chef Justin Maule, Michelin-starred Geoffrey Smeddle, ice cream maestro Owen Hazel from Jannettas Gelateria in St Andrews, Fife Food Ambassador Christopher Trotter, Wullie Balfour from SRUC Elmwood, Stewart MacAulay from the Adamson in St Andrews, and Craig Millar from 16 West End in St Monans.

For the duration of the festival, the seafront Marine Hotel will play host to children’s activities and a fun children’s ceilidh, offered by Forgans of St Andrews, while there will be a Foot-Stompin’ Supper at the community hall on the Saturday evening.
