If it’s new flooring you need Glenearn is on hand to help guide you through the options.

Glenearn is an award-winning firm which boasts a 10,500 sq ft store dedicated to floor coverings, which makes it one of the largest independent flooring stores in the country.

Established by the Ewing family in 1995, the business has grown to become one of Scotland’s leading suppliers of flooring.

The Ewing family has been in the trade for two generations and are very much at the heart of Glenearn.

Director George Ewing Junior says: “We refer to our team as our Glenearn family.

“They are incredibly loyal and share our outlook and drive in offering our customers a different experience when they enter our store.”

Jane Ewing, another one of Glenearn’s directors explains: “We avoid heavy handed selling techniques.

“Instead, we give customers the chance to browse and let them approach us if they need advice or guidance.

“We never put people under pressure to buy and our advice is always free.”

In the past few months the firm has expanded its offering to include the Concreate range – a range of polished concrete floor and wall panels, as well as the Panneau range – statement wall panels made from reclaimed wood to complement beautiful wood flooring.

But this is not all that the business has to offer. Glenearn supplies everything from vinyl, rugs, wooden flooring, LVT (luxury vinyl tile) designs, and safety and specialist flooring.

A clearance department can also be found in-store with many carpets and floorcoverings at a fraction of their original price.

LVT design flooring forms a huge part of the business and big brand names can be found throughout the store, such as Amtico, Karndean, Moduleo and Allura.

There are many advantages to vinyl flooring, which is why it’s one of their most popular choices.

During the 20th Century, vinyl flooring was thought to be the kitchen, bathroom and industrial replacement for linoleum.

Sheet vinyl and tiles offered style and colours never before seen in resilient floor coverings.

However, during the 21st Century luxury vinyl tile arrived on the scene and with it came many features never before seen in the flooring industry.

It is an attractive style of flooring which is offered at a lower price. It’s also easy to install and maintain.

From the appearance of an expensive marble or fine wood floor to a more rustic look of stone or distressed wood, luxury vinyl tile offers many advantages including the following: – Water resistant – Easy to clean and maintain – Comes in a variety of sizes, styles and colours, so there will be something to suit your home – Scratch and stain resistant – Meets green building standards and qualifies for LEED points in commercial applications
