Spooky show in castle grounds
A spooky sound and light show is to be staged in the grounds of Tullibole Castle over the Halloween weekend.
Running from October 27 to 29, the Tullibole Trail: BeWitched event is a familyfriendly night-time trail walk that invites visitors to follow a light trail through secluded woods, past the ancient graveyard and into the Witches’ Maze.
The show will incorporate lights and music in the atmospheric surroundings of the castle and the grounds and has been designed by the castle’s owner, Rhoderick Moncrieff.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to enjoy a different kind of event this Halloween,” he said.
“The castle and the grounds provide the perfect eerie backdrop – it’s the perfect way to spend the spookiest weekend of the year.”
Tullibole Castle is located near Crook of Devon and is a 17th-Century A-listed Scottish Castle belonging to the Moncrieff family, surrounded by secluded grounds boasting a ruined medieval church and a 150-yard moat.
Tickets for the event will be on sale later in the year with all profits going to a local charity.

The normally sedate grounds surrounding Tullibole Castle are no stranger to creepy events – last year they were transformed into a bloody battlefield for the filming of a historical horror film.
