Through the garden gate

-

It is still not too late to book tickets to meander around Fife‘s Garden Trail.

Tickets give entry to nine privately owned gardens, all of which are very different.

Five of the gardens have never, or rarely, admitted guests before.

Visitors can either see all the gardens in three days, open from June 20 to 22, June 27 to 29 or July 4 to 6, or take four weeks to see them all.

The website, www.scotlandsgardens.org, and the yellow Scotland’s Gardens guide give details of opening dates and times.

Some gardens have plants for sale, while others have the option of teas.

A total of 40% of money raised will go to RNLI Anstruther and RHET Fife with the balance going to Scotland’s Gardens beneficiary charities.

Accompanied children go free.

The gardens that are opening for the trail include Balcaskie, Pittenweem, on Thursdays, Edenside, Strathmiglo, on Wednesdays, Freelands, Ceres, on Tuesdays, Gilston House by Largoward on Thursdays, Lucklaw House, Logie, on Wednesdays, St Mary’s Farm, St Marys Road, Cupar, on Wednesdays, Teasses Gardens, near Ceres, on Tuesdays, Whinhill, Lahill Mains, Upper Largo, on Tuesdays and Willowhill, Forgan, Newport, on Wednesdays.

Tickets cost £20 plus £1 p&p and are available from www.scotlandsgardens.org/FGF2017.
