A Coul £1.4m buys you a country estate
Sale: Price includes manor house, orchard and 70 acres of Perthshire land
Budding lords of the manor are being given the chance to snap up an entire Perthshire estate for a cool £1.4 million.
Coul Estate, near Auchterarder, comes with a C-listed manor house, its own orchard, two estate cottages and more than 70 acres of land. Also included in the sale are a variety of estate outbuildings, including a 19th Century stable block.
The six-bedroomed main house dates to the Georgian era, with the owners now downsizing.
The entire estate is being sold by CDK Galbraith for offers over £1,375,000.
A spokesman said: “Coul Estate lies in an elevated position to the south of the rural town of Auchterarder in the heart of Perthshire.
“It is perfectly located to benefit from a beautifully rural, idyllic and secluded setting, yet is very accessible for Auchterarder, Perth and the A9.
“Coul House lies at the centre of the estate and is a quintessential Georgian laird’s house, with a sympathetic 1950s addition to the south.
“It is a delightful family house of lovely scale and proportions, with each room enjoying an outlook over the grounds and the uninterrupted views.”
The home also features cornicing, panelled doors and original fireplaces.
The spokesman added that both the sitting room and drawing room have views to both the north and south.
