Double blow as Milne and Peters leave the Loons

-

Forfar have lost another two members of the squad that clinched promotion to League 1 via the play-offs with midfielder Lewis Milne heading to Australia and striker Josh Peters joining Livingston.

The Loons have already seen Thomas O’Brien and Danny Denholm head for Arbroath with former Cowdenbeath midfielder Milne, who joined last summer, has opted to move to Perth in Western Australia and try and find a club there.

Ex-Strathspey Thistle and Hibs striker Peters, who scored 17 times after joining Gary Bollan’s side last August, has earned a deal with the League 1 winners.

David Hopkin’s side are getting a bargain as Forfar had agreed with 20-year-old Peters when he signed that if a full time club came in for him then no development compensation would be sought.

Bollan said: “It is always disappointing when players you would like to keep move on but with Lewis and Josh there was little we could do to keep them.”

Meanwhile Loons season tickets go on sale this Saturday from 10am to 11am within the 1984 Lounge at Station Park.

Prices have been frozen at last season’s prices with an adult stand ticket priced at £190. A senior citizen ticket comes in at £95, an U17 brief at £70 with a ticket for U12s retailing at £30.

An adult ticket for the terracing is £180 with a senior citizen ticket costing £90. Under-17 and under-12 tickets are the same price as for the stand.

The tickets will go on sale again next Monday from 6.30-7.30pm.
