DF Concerts presents hotly-tipped singersong­writer Callum Beattie on Tuesday with support from local acts Elena and Neil Morrison.

Callum recently released the lead single We Are Stars from his debut album Lights in Stereo.

The Edinburgh-based, incredibly talented composer and songwriter has made a name for himself on the European indie music scene.

Despite his tender years he has already made several appearance­s on British television and played hundreds of gigs over the UK and Europe.

Influenced by James Morrison, Oasis and David Gray, he combines tranquil instrument­als with captivatin­g vocals, nostalgic lyrics and catchy choruses.

His tunes showcase his stunning voice which shines throughout the album.

He will be at Clarks on Lindsay Street on Tuesday night.

There’s crowd-pleasing party tunes from Coconut Groove tonight at Clarks on Lindsay Street.

Tomorrow the Funkin’ Idiots play funk and disco classics.

Both start at 9.30pm with free entry before midnight.

This week’s Sunday Song Club is hosted by The Collective with a slot from The Notables choir.

That starts at 7.30pm.

Chris Holmes, former lead guitarist of legendary US group W.A.S.P brings his new band Chris Holmes Mean Man to Church (previously Buskers/Bar 15) on Tuesday.

Chris will be performing a W.A.S.P set alongside some of his new material.

McDaniels has Fizzle Chimps tonight from 9.30pm then tomorrow it’s The Elaine Stewart Band at 10pm. Pretty Shameless play pub rock classic covers tomorrow at Westport Bar. That starts at 10pm and entry is free.

Number 57 has its weekly acoustic session tonight at 9pm.

Ringer are in the tea time slot tomorrow from 5.30pm followed by Tivvy at 9.30pm.

Sunday sees The Junkyard Dogs in their usual Sunday residency at 7pm.

Stamina welcomes special guest Treb to the Reading Rooms tonight.

Treb has been making a name for himself with releases on Glasgow’s Blotter Records and Hilltown Disco, and has promised a set full of uncompromi­sing house music with some of his new unreleased material thrown in for good measure.

Warm up and cool down comes from residents Matt, Chris and Rico with the usual mix of house, disco and Italo.

Entry is free before 11.30pm, £5 after and gates open at 10.30pm.

Locarno is back tomorrow with Red and Steven joined by Reuben and Max for an alternativ­e slice of 50s and 60s tunes.

The Rooms will be open from 4pm for the Blackscrof­t Barbecue before Locarno takes over at 10pm.

Entry is free before 10pm and tickets on the door are £5 before midnight and £7 after or it’s £4/6 if you’ve got a student card.

Headroom kick off a weekend of live music at The Bank Bar tonight.

Tomorrow it’s Barry and Nicky Lawson. Both start around 9.30pm. Songwriter­s Sunday is hosted by Gavin McGinty with guest performers from 8pm.

Dave Webster’s open mic is on Wednesday at 8.30pm.

The annual Bandathon tickets are selling fast, you can get yours from the bar for £5 with all proceeds going to Tayside Mountain Rescue.

The event will take place on June 25 with 12 hours of music from the best local talent.

Cherry Bombz bring their unplugged show to The Pageant in Arbroath tonight at 9pm.

Tomorrow the pop punk group is at Powrie Bar from 9.30pm then on Sunday it’s an afternoon show in Kettledrum at 4.30pm.

Nicola Madill officially launches her delightful new album Selene with a gig in the unusual surroundin­gs of All Soul’s Episcopal Church in Invergowri­e tomorrow night (See What’s On feature).

Alongside her backing band of talented musicians, guitarist/producer John Curran, multi-insrumenta­list Paul (Lefty) Wright, bassist Tom Barbour, drummer Billy Fisher, along with backing vocalist Fiona Sturrock, Nicola will perform the album in its entirety from 7.30pm.

Support comes from Polsitar, featuring Paul Wright on sitar and Ricky Linn on tabla.
