Secluded cottages in the East Neuk are Fife gems

-

Madeira Holiday Cottages are a collection of self-catering homes tucked away in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife.

Owners Jamie and Tara Robertson are proud to welcome visitors to their beautiful holiday cottages just 10 minutes away from the pretty village of Pittenweem.

Madeira is a calm and serene spot, perfect for getting away from it all.

The area has been blessed with a beautiful microclimate, perfect for a holiday.

The cottages sleep between two and nine people, with the pretty terraced outlets comprising five one bedroom, cottages sleeping up to four. Three also have pull-out sofa beds.

These cottages have everything you might need for a comfortable stay with small but well-equipped kitchens and covered patio areas.

All cottages have flatscreen TVs with Freeview and children’s equipment and some toys available.

For larger parties or families, the gardener’s cottage sleeps six to nine guests and is within its own part of the garden. Originally the gardener’s cottage for Grangemuir Estate, it has three bedrooms and a newly refurbished family bathroom.

There is a woodburning stove for those chillier nights and a sunroom with seating – the perfect spot to watch the sun go down.

At the bottom of the garden a small burn attracts wildlife and adds to the sense of tranquillity.

Outside, a secluded patio area is a lovely spot for a summer barbecue and there are rope swings to keep children of any age happy.

Guests at Maderia can reach the village of Pittenweem, with its pubs, shops and art galleries, on foot, while the famous fish and chip shop at Anstruther is just a little further down the road.

St Andrews is only nine miles away, and offers plenty to see and do.
