Auntie Nellie is charity pal
Kinghorn author Nellie Phillips has handed over another bumper sum to charity.
The 94-year-old presented £1,000 to Save the Children from the proceeds of her memoirs.
Mrs Phillips, known to many in the Forthside village as Auntie Nellie, became a first time author this year just six years shy of her centenary.
Auntie Nellie’s Memoirs has become a runaway hit, raising hundreds of pounds for charities.
She pledged the second print run would go to benefit Save the Children, a promise she honoured yesterday.
